Burning smell coming from the driver side rear wheel area????

Hey guys,

I recently noticed a burning smell coming from the driver side rear wheel area only. The smell was pretty strong after I drive from over 15 minutes on the highway. It smells like some sort of wires were burned.
I checked to see if any plastic bag or anything plastic was stuck to my exhaust but there was nothing there to produce the smell.

Should I be worried about this?

It could be the parking break cable binded up and one of your pads is in contact with the rotor, which would cause a burning smell from the rear of the car. Check your parking break.

or it could just be that one of your rear calipers is frozen..,...which IIRC happens every so often on maximas and other cars....

Is there something that I should do or is it something that will eventually go away.

either get a new caliper (they're not very $$), or rebuild yours with new seals and lube.
