Best 19in Tires, Not Gonna Warp or Blow Out.

Hey, I was looking into some Forged 19inch rim. and was looking at getting the Best Tires.
So far I like NT-555 "Extreme ZR Tires. Because they have a great contact patch and some good ratings. Price dont matter.

But I thought it would be better to get people on here opinion because personal expierence.

Work, Volk wheels is a good start. Nitto 555 is a bad choice on tires if you live in a area where it rains a lot. Once you get about 5K miles on the tires and the initial layer of rubber is gone, You'll be slipping and sliding all over the road in the rain.

I disagree. I've found that my 555s are quite stable in light to moderate rain showers. I'm sure there are many different opinions on this just like everything else however.

I have had 3 sets of 555 on 3 different cars and they are all the same. Switched to S03 or Pilot sport and problem resolved. offcourse one of those tires costs as much as 2.5 Nitto tires.

BTW good choice on the rims

SSR or BBS would be good choices for forged lightweight wheels. Tirerack has some. Also, if money is no object my vote would be for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I have them and love them.

From: Auburn WA,
I hate my Nitto 555's The wet traction is horrible! Altho, I have never damage one with a pothole or anything like that. Michelin = good traction but problems with impact brakes. Bridgestone is the way to go in my opinion.

I get michelin pilot A/S on my car now, great wet traction, but now they just seem to chrip a little bit to much when u hit the gas. Just wondering if there is something better.

Anyone know of forged rims from volk?

I had both 450s and 555s and they are not that bad in rain. Yes there are better rain performance tires but Nittos worked just fine. I ran them for about 40k miles until I sold them. Even then, they were just fine.

Hell, if price don't matter, why waste your time on some Nittos that may or may not stop the car down Likelike Hwy when it's wet? If price is no object get the Michies Pilot PS2s.

i had toyo T1S's on my 19's and was pretty impressed wiht the wet traction and treadwear. Only thing is they're pretty loud tires.

Goodyear Eagle GS F1 D3 on my 19's, burned the **** out of the fronts pretty quick (about 6 months), switched them to the back and no more burnouts and they're holding out pretty well. I've hit a couple bad potholes and no rim damage so thats a plus. No complaints whatsoever with dry traction, these things handle purrrrfect. As far as wet traction they aren't too good with downpours which I guess is normal, and on wet ground they're not bad. For $300 a piece I'll def. spend my money somewhere else, but if you're willing to spend $1200 on tires like I regret maybe they're for you. I think I'm going with Wanali tires next, my friend has them and loves them, and they're dirt cheap so $$$ won't be going through my head when I light them up.
