horizonal direction?

My 03 HIDs have only vertical adjustments on back of housing, horizontal direction is set by the mounting angle on the clips mounted on the radiator support and the top bolts, there are some play possible with the screw inside the fender but i don't it's meant for that.

If installing the 2k3 HIDs in a 2k, do I have to remove the headlight clips attached to my car that keeps the 2k headlights in place? If so, do the 2k3 headlights require their own clip holders or no?

I had to adjust my beams up a little higher. I see so well now I think I'm brighter on the cars in front. Before I could see where the light beam ended 3 feet on the ground in front of me

Nissan made them standard on all 02-03 maximas so iam sure they didn't use the best HID kit avail. but they are a lot better than standard halogen headlights. The only problem with them is they are not projector type. And yes the hid in the acura cl sucked big time. Nissans are not that bad....

If you want them to fit perfectly YES you need to get the 02-03 clips... Otherwise they will aimed up higher or lower because they aren't properly secured!

My 03 HIDs suck!! I am saying that only because I don't want people to jack them. THe lights may not seem very bright in the city because of the ambient light. When you are on a dark country road at night, you'll really appreciate the difference.

If you are driving on well lit streets you are not going to see a huge difference with HID's. But on horribly lit street Maxima HID's will make the difference. Lexus still utilized reflector HID's until last year with good results. I am still contemplating whether to do a projector retrofit for my 02. But I will probably save my money for something more useful.

Hmm I followed your suggestion and my friends thought that I bought bulbs with higher K rate

I think the 5.5G Maxima HIDs are noticeably more effective than typical halogens. But, my Murano's bixenons put the Maxima's HIDs to shame; quite simply, if I hit the high beams in the Murano, night is effectively turned into daytime anywhere near my frontend.
