not license plates, frames. and no, not professionally or even as a hobby.
had some spare black plastic dealer frames with the white lettering. removed the dealer's name with lacquer thinner (eats through almost anything), and applied an extra maxima.org decal (silver) to the bottom. tried to put "the home for maxima enthusiasts" across the top, but a few letters didn't stick and the others weren't quite even, so i left them off.

ebay, just buy the maxima chrome ones for like $10, then peel off the cheap lettering with fingers.
thats what i did, and i was planning on doing what dave did, but i didnt have any spare stickers.
i might be doing it with my red stillen ones though.

wow, old thread.
Here's an update... I'm still using the 'chrome' plates I bought off eBay... They rust
The bolts that hold the plate on also rust.. and they look ugly. So I bought a pack of bolt-cover things at Pepboys.
They are cheap and makes the plates look more slick.

the image is no longer avaible because it was hosted on photopoint which shut down in december of 2001.
which reminds me: does ANYONE know where i can find a licence plate holder in black pearl?

MaximaZero is correct, the original image was hosted from photopoint.
if anyone is interested i'll find the original photo again and make it viewable - or i'll take another picture, it's still on my max. need a day or two though.
