Hmmm... You make license plates?? j/k
I think it looks cool. I would get one if the price was right. How much HP did it add?

not license plates, frames. and no, not professionally or even as a hobby.
had some spare black plastic dealer frames with the white lettering. removed the dealer's name with lacquer thinner (eats through almost anything), and applied an extra maxima.org decal (silver) to the bottom. tried to put "the home for maxima enthusiasts" across the top, but a few letters didn't stick and the others weren't quite even, so i left them off.

It looks really cool, Dave...and far bettter than the dealer frame on my Max (hmmm, I guess that means mine's not fully loaded anymore).

Great job. I could not tell all that work was done from the pic. Definitely better than free advertising for the dealer.

ebay, just buy the maxima chrome ones for like $10, then peel off the cheap lettering with fingers.

thats what i did, and i was planning on doing what dave did, but i didnt have any spare stickers.

i might be doing it with my red stillen ones though.

Sheehy Nissan in Manassas, VA had some awesome looking holders for $35 a piece. They only had 1 left so I bought it. I'm waiting for them to call me back on the 2nd one.

wow, old thread.

Here's an update... I'm still using the 'chrome' plates I bought off eBay... They rust

The bolts that hold the plate on also rust.. and they look ugly. So I bought a pack of bolt-cover things at Pepboys.

They are cheap and makes the plates look more slick.

Don't do it. Just order some more Max.org stickers. Stillen isn't just for Nissans anymore. They now do Honda and Mitsubishi. Their research dollars are divided up between several makes of cars.

MaximaZero is correct, the original image was hosted from photopoint.

if anyone is interested i'll find the original photo again and make it viewable - or i'll take another picture, it's still on my max. need a day or two though.
