There are way too many nice posts I'd like to respond to so thanks for all the kind words. I didn't realize how bad it was until I took the pictures and saw her again. It is amazing how the frame bent on the side. Seeing how far the side pillar was pushed back I'm damn glad he hit it pretty square and not my passenger door. Since a few people have asked about parts, I will post when I find out where the car is going and I figure I am going to go and pull some of the more requested parts, like those headlights and fog lights. Then I'll probably need to start a thread in the for for sale section.

Ah, my baby , my wife and I flew to Ohio and drove her home. She did have under 43k when I bought her, but the trip added a few. I actually found her on Autotrader, suprising that she wasn't taken earlier with low mileage and a decent price. One-owner car too and the interior is spotless. I have some pics at http://www.lifeatspeed.com.

Definitely, she held up good. If you drew a line down the middle of the car, the driver's side looks almost untouched, sans the sunroof and the rear wheel. It really kept my compartment in tact. Even if someone was in the passenger seat, they would have been ok in the long run, no life threatening injuries I would think.

This has been said way too many times before man, but it's a shame what happened to your car. It can be replaced though, you cannot. I don't know you, but I'm glad you're ok.

Ouch! Glad you're ok...but that's what a totalled car looks like. Mine DID NOT look like $15K damage from the outside...

Car is at Salvage

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I found where the insurance company took my car (http://www.verastar.com/WebSite/Deta...x?recid=383357) It looks like it is a salvage place, but they do salvage auctions. By what I have read on their site, they auction the car off as a whole to licensed dealers and salvagers, so sorry to those of you looking for parts. It is too bad they don't allow you to pick parts because they have a nice database of cars that you can search. I found another 6 speed on their site that was burnt from the inside, looked interesting. I was really hoping these parts would go to someone who cares about these cars, not just some dealer (scary thought) or salvager that I don't know of and can't locate.

glad your ok man. and for those still asking about parts he said it's already at the insurance auction so your prolly not gonna get any unless u have a dealers liscense and bid on it.

he wants an older max because they are the shiznit... i want my 97' back
