remember, though - with the capsules you can go to autozone and buy some $3.99 sylvania "normal" H3 bulbs if they ever burn out. With the Luminics, if one burns out, you will have to order them and spend $30 or so. That, and we have yet to see how long the Luminics last (the PIAAs and Narvas tend to burn out in under 6 months).

The Luminics look good, no doubt, but it remains to be seen how long they'll last...keep that in mind.

Take out your fog housing and there's a little 8mm bolt behind it you can turn. It's sensitive, so make small adjustments and then check the output.

Yeah they are. There's a bolt that you rotate. Sometimes I think that damn bolt doesn't do anything at all.

Hey Josh, that would be great if you can do a side by side comparison between the different bulbs...Redline vs Capsule vs Luminics

I've had the Narvas too....they are the "most yellow" bulb I've seen in person (more yellow than the PIAA Crystal Ion). I'll let you know how the others match up...

we just did the "head-to-head" testing of the yellow bulbs...

and those pics (the ones taken by steven) are not even CLOSE to accurate as to the REAL color. It is a really cool looking pic, but the Luminics bulbs are most definitely a pale yellow, not the deep orange you see here. Of the hundreds of pics we took, a few looked like this one, but those were with a VERY SLOW camera shutter speed on the camera that gave a "false color".....I'm pretty good with the camera tricks and steven, you definitely used a slow shutter speed for these...

so.....Steven, props for some sweet looking pics, but you're gonna have to 'fess up that the lights are not nearly that yellow/orange (not even close) in reality....you don't want people to buy these and be disappointed and pis sed off at you, do you?

The Luminics bulbs are best described as a "gold" bulb (like the Narva/Candlepowers)...NOT a yellow. They look nice in person, but they do not have the "lexus yellow" look.

I know some of you will say "well, Irish, you're biased on this one"...but those who know me know I tell it straight up...and Tim and Joel will back me up in our thread to come.

so here's what they really look like in comparison to the Lexus capsules. A sneak preview of the larger thread we will post in an hour or two:

realistic color:

wrong camera settings/stylized....not realistic..

LOL good comparison nevertheless josh...I'm not out to promote luminics or what not...just tryin to give an alternative to the org...and yeah my digital camera was bought in 02...it's not even mine, its actually my mom's...I'm not too familiar on how to use its full features....so yeah I'll see if I can adjust the settings and try to get better quality pictures...if i can't, then my camera definitely is out-dated

Dropped off the car at the body shop this morning...getting it back Thursday...stay tuned ya'll

I know man....those pics you took do look awesome, and are good for showing off...just tryin to make sure we're all seeing the same thing, since the yellow fog thing really seems to be getting popular and don't want people getting one color when they thought they were getting another....

"keepin it real, Yo!"

taking lighting photography is always tough....I'm actually very good at lighting shots using "wet film" but still learning the tricks to digital myself (especially since I have a new digital cam with different settings from my old one)...

i think you'll be surprised when our full comparison test is up

the only way to do a VALID comparison is to have cars with all of those bulbs together at the same time, with the same camera. The comparo we're about to post is the Capsules vs. Luminics vs. RedlineMax Halo Super Yellow, which are the three YELLOWEST I've seen to date (and I've used damn near every yellow bulb at this point, plus the Lamin-x yellow film)

Joel and I have both used the PIAA Crystal Ion and agree they are not as yellow as ANY of those three I just mentioned. I have also used the Narva/Candlepower Gold, which is also less yellow. The Nokyas I have seen in person and they are about the same as the Narvas IMO (nice looking, but more "gold" than "yellow")

Test results will be posted later tonight....

patience, young Jedi.

Agreed but I'll do a comparison between the PIAAs and Halos this weekend.
