I'm looking at the Eibach Pro springs for my 2K1. I hear I can do a 0.8" drop? Is this drop adjustable with everything else stock? I have a FSTB and RSB now.....how will my ride differ in comfort (bumps) and handling? What is the going market price for the springs? What should the intall time be including alignment? Do the back seats have to come out at all during install (I hope this isn't a stupid question?) Any other feedback at all would be awesome!

i belive the drop is 1.3 or sumthin.. not .8

no its not adjustable

in comfort, with the fstb and rsb not much, but would the handling noticeably wayy better.

going price depends on where u get it.. try www.shox.com

install time i dunno.. sorry.

i dont think the back seats need to comeout.. why would that effect the install? (im not postitive on this tho)

The comfort level is going to drop. You're going to feel the bumps and cracks that you've never felt with the stock springs.

No need to remove the back seats for the install.

Anyone know a relatively standard install time for the Eibach with or without alignment?

Depends on how skillful the installer is. I'd say somewhere between 2 to 5 hours (without alignment).

Oh yeah... make sure they cut the bumpstop (cut off one ring).

5 hours good lord~!~!~~!
I think I'd commit suicide at that point.

I said between 2 to 5 hours, Hogan. Also depends on the installer's experience. You, my friend, are experienced.

It'd take me 5 weeks and then it would be f'd up. I can't even change my oil in 5 hours.

you meant "turn-the-wheel-to-the-right-and-remove-the-filter speedy oil change"

I think I learned this from u or someone who posted about this before

I can also teach how to use pliers to compress the rear brake piston, and do it in a parking lot.
Maybe build a supercharger out of Home Depot components ?

Just make sure you don't mess up the caliper because it'll be bling bling to replace them.

Springs should cost ~230 (shox.com) unless you can get them used. My install took like 8 hours cause we didn't know what we were doing and we took breaks including lunches and we had to get a new ratchet (mine broke) and then a breaker bar. Air tools and a lift would significantly reduce the install time.

Ooglie fuel management unit would work (similar to Vortech's in the Stillen SC kit).

shox.com at $230 sounds great! Checkin' it out now. Talked to a tuner today (does everything but Maximas) and he is saying I should go with H&R. They are a little lower than Eibachs but he said they are better performance wise. I assume I lose more comfort with the H&R over Eibachs?

Eibachs perform better while H&R's ride quality isn't as harsh. I think he got them mixed up.

I'm still using the Maxima rear calipers. Z rear calipers will not fit on our Max.

The fronts are easy... just push down REALLY hard to compress the piston. I doubt you'll mess them up.

Get a new pair from the junkyard if you do mess up.
