The rattle is apparent underneath the trunk area and usually is a dull sound.
It occurs usually on small bumps and always occurs in multiple hits with the first sound being louder than the one after it , sometimes i can hear 3 or 4 hits in a row.

 

Do you have a RSB?

 

no RSB, but does sound like sound coming from rear axle.

Hey I just figured out what the heck the rattle was coming from the rear of my car. It turned out to be a big chunk of ice caught in the rear fender thingy from all that snow last week.
