Nissan Maxima 3.2L?
while i was shopping for a used maxima i knew i wanted a 3.5L one but the 5th gen cuz i can't afford the 6th gen yet =/ well i was at a nissan dealer trying to see if they have any 2002-03 3.5L maximas. the sales guy came over and told me they only have the 3.0L maximas and that nissan doesn't make 3.5L for this gen he then told me that nissan made a 3.2L maxima for the 02-03 well i was shocked. i argued with him for a while that there IS a 3.5L 5th gen maxima but he even brought in another guy which also says the only that there isn't such thing and the only 3.5L maxima ever made was for the 6th gens. then i just left i thought i was wrong or missing something so i did some more research. i ended up buying my used 2002 maxima from an infiniti dealer and they know more stuff about the maxima than those nissan sales guys lol

Lots of salemans/womens at the dealerships don't know jack. They figure most consumers don't know jack so the sales reps figure there word is gold and the customer will believe them. When i was looking to replace my 02 i would ask most dealerships if the 6 speed they had on there lot had HLSD and 90% didn't have a clue or to even find out if it did.......Shame...

lol here’s another story: when I was shopping for my currant car I came to this used car lot. The sales person approached me and asked if I need any help. I said that I was looking for something relatively powerful that has RWD and manual transmission. Guess which car that guy showed me… a 4 cylinder Altima. The funny thing is that he and his partner were trying to assure me that it has 3.5 liter engine and that it’s RWD.

Go back and act like you did the last time. They probably won't recognize you but even if they do just try to get them to say what they did the last time. Then show them your car. Enjoy.

I always thought that the first rule that they teach you in business school is to learn about what your trying to sell, guess thats why those sales people are selling cars and not important stuff. I've heard that car sales people have a high turn over rate, guess I know why now. Althought I have to admit there are some great car sales persons that are good at what they do and make decent money because they are good.

tht happend to us too!! my mom was shopping for new corolla and the salesperson said, "we have a 4cyl or a v6 model" which isnt true! they only make corolla's 4cyl. anyways thts my story!!! stupid a$$ ppl!! dont know ****!!

This is what my older brother does for fun. lol. He owns his own car dealership (Audi, Subaru, Jeep, VW) and he goes to other car dealers to screw with them. He always goes and makes a complete idiot out of them, because he knows everything and anything about cars. You will be suprised how many fights you can get into with some scumbag who is trying to make a measly $200 in selling you a car he doesn't know jack about.

They all coke heads anyways, what do you expect from a high school drop out who makes 20 dollars A day by just standing there all day without selling a single thing ? They make their $$$ in comission only, so if they don't sell anything- they make litterally nothing.

Two things:
1) Nissan didn't make the 3.2L maxima: Tilley did.
2) I'm in sales (definitly not cars) and I've put three competitors out of business because they didn't know their own product. If you don't do your research, you're not going to last in sales.

So since Nissan has sh!tty knowledge on what it sells, will you put them out of sales too, or someone who knows about what cars they are selling?

You know that when you take a test drive and the salesperson has to drive it off the lot...well when I test driving my '03 I just sat there and wached this cluebag try to find the reverse on my 6speed. He was searching all over the place until I told him "See that little ring there right by your fingers? You might want to try pulling that up." Lo-and-behold it worked!! Where do they find these guys?

I love stories such as these...
My dad told me a story once that he got the responsibility to buy 1 million dollars worth of fork lifts for a factory he was the manager at, and he went to the store to look at fork lifts and the sales guy who was helping him was saying " oh yeah the fork lifts we sell have the "A engine" and our competitors sell the ones that come with the "B engines" and the a's are so much better because the b's arent reliable and such. Then the guy opened the hood to the fork lift and it had the "B" engine in it.... that cost him 1 million dollars.

yeah, ive heard about the v6 cobalt SS, the ws6 trans am thats "every bit as fast as the vette" hm what else, just little stuff that they dont know that a salesperson could learn by just opening the cars fact book. the biggest one is GM's selling point of "the coolant doesnt even need to be changed for 150,000 miles"

We need to see how much we've posted since Jan/05. ... Who cares, I already claimed the title anyway

Don't call it 3.slow...

I've been smoked by many a 3.slow. You have to admit, in stock form, the 5.0 gen auto does suck.
back on topic!
