A 3.0 with a 3.5 crank becomes 3.3, a bored 3.0 with 3.5 pistons becomes 3.2, and a 3.0 with 3.5 crank and pistons becomes 3.5.
So a 3.0 can definately handle more bore. In fact I think even with the stock crank you could get 3.7 liters out of a 3.0 block.
BTW, an intelligently modded 3.0 is by no means slow.

It always amazes me the stupidity of some of these sales people. I've been selling Nissans for 3 years now, and theres guys at my place with 20+ years that don't know what a VQ-35 is. These are also the same guys that think Nissan has never (and still doesn't) make a AWD car, let alone a RWD one......
