I have an 02 SE, and the clutch is making a whining noise when being released, and also is giving me vibration on takeoff. now i dont have an ext. warrenty on the car, but is it true im covered for 5 years/60k miles under nissans, regardless if im the second owner? And is the clutch covered under the powertrain warrenty? i know there is a TSB for my problem.

 

Clutch is not covered under powertrain warranty. I think there is a TSB but if your outta the 3/36 warranty then forget about it.......If you can try and take it to Frost Nissan in newton. They are a really good dealership. Nothing but good things to say about them.....

 

Yes they are... as long is its a defect, not you breaking it. same as any other part of the car.

 

The clutch disc is not covered in the powertrain warranty. It's considered a wear and tear item like brakes.
