"ICY" on the temperature?

This is my first winter with my Max, and so its the first time i saw it display ICY on the temperature guage. My question is, does it actually detect ice, or is it programmed to say ICY at a certain temperature? And are there any other conditions programmed into it, or is ICY the only one? Thanks

It's programed to display icy under a certain temperature reading.

It's referring to the temperature of the beer the car is requesting. I strongly suggest you find the nearest bar and get a cold one quickly!

Look at the bright side: the bar taps are gonna be WAY smaller when you get back than before you left! One beer, two beers, three beers floor will have a whole new meaning for you!

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Maxima out there somwhere with a stars and bars bumper sticker or flag or something on it.
