optima owners please step in

hey i was wondering how did you guys mount your optima battery i just got a red top today and when i tried putting it on noticed the damn + and - were on the opposite side any suggestions would be appreciated and im interested to see pictures of your engine bay with the optima battery. thanks. happy new year guys.

you might try the audio forum, alot of the guys there have the optima battery. good luck, I can't help you though.

cliffs: the 34 series needs a little bit of modifying in order for the positive terminal to be connected properly, while the 35 series is plug and play...

My red top fits fine.

I think that I removed the plastic surround that cradled the battery and then dropped it in. The positive is the smaller terminal of the two. It's the one closer to the center of the car. Everything seemed to fit perfect except that the positive cable was a bit tight (short).

I have one, and it fits fine, but you can just do that, who cares if the Optima words don't face forward...Also, you could use the side post terminals as well if that would help you.

No issues with the 75/35 mounted on the red tray that comes with it. See my link, there is a engine bay pic.

hey thanks guys i did put it in it looked like it was going to be a pain but it actually fit pretty good. thanks for the quick responses gotta love the org.
