Question: 2000SE vs GLE/GXE exhaust ??

OK muffler is breaking .. I have a Warpspeed Y-pipe ready to go in... I'm looking to replace the rest, ( also have a high flow cat ) and want to get a cat-back. All i can find for cat-backs is "2000 maxima SE" model... I have a stripped down maxima ( base model) not even an ashtray!! So are the exhaust on the SE different that those found on the non-SEs ?? I assume not, but i just want to make sure. As this thing is huge and could donate my left kidney for the shipping costs if it doesnt fit.

Any recommendations on what to get ?

I wanna replace the mid-section ( b-pipe ) and muffler..

Help ?

IIRC the only difference is the stock tip.

It's not a cat-back, it's the rear section... Where's Puppetmaster when you need him ... In my words, rear section = tips, muffler, and a small section of pipe... And doesn't incldue the mid, or "b" pipe... But I could be talking out of my as.s since I don't own, nor believe in cat backs....yet

OK ya you sound like you are right... im looking at "XYZ auto racing blahblah" (auto parts site) they are all the same it seems... And the nissan HKS is the only one with "Rear section only" words... so its just a high price muffler... GG

Is Greddy the ONLY way to go nowadays ???

I say stay with stock unless you're going to pressurize or use N20.
