6K better than 4.3K i know its supposed to be brighter or something. Also if i do decide to go 6K, can I just swap the bulbs into my existing nissan hid setup? and I really want the fogs to match.

yea i've wondered that myself, if you decide to go from stock (4.3K) to 6K can you just switch out the bulbs?, can the stock nissan HID system handle that increase in Kelvin?

the bulb itself is still the same 35W the higher kelvin just means the change in color not the temperature i mean like it doesn't get hotter or anything. stock harness will handle it.

hey lowincash, what kinda setup you got, you got 6K or 4.3K, i dont think u got 4.3 but maybe...im thinkin 6k hid and 6k fogs. I hate the super plasma pink lookin foglights with the 4.3k factory hids. any advise on the best setup to go with...white fogs and matching white hids lowbeam?

What do you mean better? 6000K is more colorful but dimmer.

Potentially Totally Stupid Question

OK - this is a totally stupid question and I apologize, but can I get headlights like that on my 2000 Maxima? I have the stock headlights now which I believe are plain old halogen and are not nearly as bright.

I'm not looking for anything blueish or purpleish or anything... just white that will make as much of the road as bright as possible without being bad for other drivers and getting me a ticket.

My stock headlights have been stolen before, and it looks like they are only secured by two screws attached to two easily breakable plastic holders. Is there a more secure anti-theft kit that I can purchase and self-install?

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Yes I did check the stickies, but all I saw was stuff for 2002-2003 HIDs.

It's probably too late now since you already spent the money on the GTX bulbs, but the regular Super Plasmas do match the stock HID color pretty closely. I remember reading once before that the Super Plasma GTX bulbs aren't as close of a match.

Here is a daytime (sorry I couldn't find night) shot of the stock HIDs and PIAA Super Plasma (NOT GTX) bulbs in the fogs:
