i've never had any problems getting ahold of them. Before the holidays I was thinking about them, wrote an e-mail, but went the other route. Last week I wrote them again and they responded after the weekend. Few days later I asked for shipping info and it was sent next day. A+ in my book.

Another +1 for hidtech.com (you can send me free stuff if you want to). They took a couple of days to get back to me by email, but they shipped the product quick and I got it in just a few days.
upstatemax-if you haven't already, just email them telling them you are local and would like to pick them up. Hopefully they'll get back to you quickly.
Let us know if you get the install done this weekend-I'm hoping to finally get mine in-we just have too much fresh snow to not ski, and it's too damn cold to work on the car outside.

I have emailed them a total of three times since tuesday and I have yet to get a response.
Once to tell them I was interested, second when I found out they were in NYC to ask if I can pickup. Then once more this morning.... Ohhh well, we will see.

I wanted yellow! SO I just did the install. First fog, lemme put it this way; I'm glad its a fog light and no one will be sticking their head down to look at it. Not knowing whether you heated it up enough and prying it apart, i left some pretty rough edges. Second fog, awesome! Went very smooth much faster. I took some pics of the process but I wont be able to ge them up till tomorrow. I used Dr. Roys method and it worked awesome!

i think they were already mentioned. They look to be a yellow film on the glass. Not going to get you the same look. Not 100% sure on this statement but I think it will be like yellow bulbs, or even worse then that.

I have the Luminics and will probably order some yellow film too.
Has anyone tried this yet? The color is pretty good now, but I'd like to get a bit richer looking yellow, but I'm not ready to do the capsules.

Irish, how bad is the glare without the reflector shrouds? Is there too much light coming up into oncoming drivers' eyes? That's my only concern. The 4th gen "reflector" shroud is a POS gray painted metal thing, not even reflective, so it has to seriously cut down on light output. Maybe I could try a little aluminum foil on the end of the yellow capsule, affixed with high-heat glue.

wow, i had just tackled this problem in the 5th gen but i dont know if the 4th gen is the same. Like i said, I did it Dr. Roy's way. The first time I only cut the top of the shroud. I left all sides intact. It did not look good. The yellow was dull, yellow but dull. 1 of the reflectors at the tip was bent a slight bit and skewed the beam pattern to everywhere, so there was no concentrated source infront of me. The pic above you can see how 1 beam on the ground was not bad, but the 1 on the right was not there at all. So I took them back apart, and decided to cut the shroud like roy suggested, The reflector tip was connected on 2 sides that were kinda at an angle of the reflector, so 2 out of 5 sides were left, on the bottom. Before I sealed them back up I thought, why don't I test them? anyone doing this mod should NOT skip this step. Put everything back together and just set the plastic(glass) in place and test the fogs. They looked amazing. I tried if without the shroud on at all, like Irish, but since mine weren't drilled in and there was just a screw holding it in place, it did not look as nice. there was some white light comming out of the sides and top and decided it was much better with the shroud in place. So to everyone doing this, cut the shroud and leave it in place to clamp the capsule in place. If you are going Irish's route and drilling its up to you because it will almost look the same either way. Here are some quick snaps of the shroud cut and then in the housing, sry they are a little blurry:

Wow, I wish it were that easy for 4th gens. We have no screw. Instead, the grey shroud is attached at two points which you have to snip off to install the capsule.
It does make a lot of sense to have a reflective portion on the bottom of the yellow capsule. The light reflects off that and hits the top of the housing's reflector, where it bounces DOWN onto the road, whereas without it that light would be bouncing off the bottom of the housing's reflector and reflecting UP. I think I'll be using foil to do this on mine.

who knows, maybe you can find a fog for cheap that has the shroud like ours with a screw in it. Then you would possibly be able to fab it into your housing without using foil. But hey, as long as it works.

Ok, they are done! I think they look amazing and am 100% happier with them since my 1st attempt. Here are the completed pics. Sorry to keep whoring it up with all these pics, but I think the more pics the more it will help people.

I got a response today, one week later...
I asked for the address in the first email, they only told me they were in Flushings Queens... So I had to email them back to ask where in Flushings so I can pick them up...Lets hope that does not take another week.
