Had the shop inspect the cams and Heads Here are digital pics of them

Hey guys I had the shop inspect my cams and heads to see if there was any damage from the lower engine failure. Anyway they claim they analyzed the oil, dropped the pan and checked the heads and cams and sent me digital photos of the heads and cams. Here they are.

What do you guys think? I am by no means a professional so I am looking for some more experienced views on these photos. Do these heads and cams look in great shape?

The service manager said they look great for having 60k on them, but he could be feeding me bs and I wouldent know it so please give me your professional, honest opinion.

Thanks guys

P.S. Maybe this might be the time to put some higher performance Cams in this bad boy!

Well off hand if the pan is clean, there would be no crap for the pick up to circulate. The cam lobes look okay. But they didn't take off any of the cam journal caps off

Yep, have them take off the journal caps and send pictures. Better yet you go look for your self because chances are your cams are scored under the journal caps.

Hey by the way what do you meen by the cam lobes look okay?? Could they be better or something?

Btw thanks for the continuing support. I will make sure to tell them to get pics with the cam journal caps off. Do you think you will be able to tell from high quality pics (like these) if anything is scored.

make sure that the cam bearings are still good. the lobes arent as likely to be scored as the journal so make sure that the take the cam out and look at the journals.

Yeah that was me. basically I brought the car in to get the oil changed. They said they changed the oil but in reality they either changed it and didnt put enough oil back into it or they didnt change it at all. Anyway when it broke down (2 weeks later) it was 2 quarts low and the oil was absolutly filthy.
