sgp racing

hey puppetmaster the name of the shop is SGP racing and it is located in houston TX. They said they could reflash my ecu on my 2000maxima se five speed. Let me just tell you the mods i have already done and may'be you could tell me if i should reflash or not. I have the y pipe and my precats are gone. I have a 2 1/4 pipe running from the cat to the stock muffler. The resonator is gone. I have an aftermarket racing gear. I have a cold air intake made at an shop the problem is though that the filter is being blocked from airflow because the battery is sitting in front of it. Do you guys think i should extend the tubing and postion the filter in front of the fan may,be. or is this the best position for it behind the battery.

why dont you reposition the battery to the trunk. It would help weight distribution.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the makers of the UDP sponsoring the dynos. Its just a little shady when he had 3 baseline runs, of which they took the lowest, and then they only show one run (presumably the best one) with the UDP on. They could have at least given us the range of values based on all the dyno runs. Whatever, that was done years ago and GregP has been a great contributor to the site so I'm not holding anything against him or Unorthodox.

So what exactly does this "reflash" consist of? Don't you think that if the "reflash" were really that good, more people would have already had this done? This is on a 6 year old car too, so you'd think that more people would know about this by now if it were true.

Let me just tell you the mods i have already done and may'be you could tell me if i should reflash or not.
It doesn't matter what mods you have, "reflashes" typically do not do anything on these cars as far as horsepower is concerned.

And one more thing to add, here is a link to possibly the only worthwhile ECU reflash for 00-01s, you should probably take a look at it if you're interested:
