If I'm not mistaken, you have to remove the dash...... I think I read that somewhere though.

The entire dash must be removed in order to access the three screws which secure the vents in place.

Another retarded Nissan Engineering feat...

Thanks! I am busy making the last of the assemblies for the .org this week, this weekend I am doing a foglight install, then the next two weeks I will be making assemblies for nycmaxima.org...then driving up to NYC to do a group install, then making the prototype LED assemblies for the 6th gen...

...then, THEN I will finally have time to finish up with my Max...

In a nutshell...

In this order, you must remove the...

Center Air Vents
Radio & CC bezel
Center Console
Glovebox
Steering wheel cover
Instrument Cluster
Passenger Air Bag

...theeeeen once you have all of the above removed, all that need be done is you remove 4 screws and pop it out. You might want to also consider removing the passenger seat as well to make it easier to manuver.

...But if you are seriously about pursuing this, I would be more than happy to help. You live in NJ, so if you wanted to, shoot me a PM and we can plan on meeting up and helping you with this. I could knock this out in about 5 hours, from start to finish.
