need part number for 2000 fed manual ecu

I'm trying to buy a different ecu, but they would rather go with a part number than description because once I buy i cant return.. from car-part.com..
I am asking if anyone has the part number for a 2000 federal spec M/T ECU and 17" program, if there is a difference...

I searched archives, but no luck... down ot yeaar 2002.....

thanks in advance

Here is how you do it... Find some ECUs on car-part.com for sale, there are a few as I recall, I think even a AT would work for MT application, call the wrecker and ask for VIN of the car it was pulled out of... Call your local dealer parts dept and ask what p/n is programmed in that ECU and ask him to compare to VIN and program of yours if it would fit... That's the safest way to go... I've done it a few times... A word of caution to you, when you install a new ECU, you may not be able to start the car likely as the key programming is stored there and you may need to program it first before you can run the car...

Just currious, why are you replacing your ECU?

Are you still 6-speed or did you go back to 5?
