If they can do it in that amount of time, they are awesome at what they do. You have to remove/reinstall a lot of components for a transmission replacement.

thats a joke, replacing an automatic transmission in any car labor and parts is known to be atleast 1 grand, my buddy just had a new trans put in his POS mustang gt for 2400$ ur meaning to tell me that when my transmission drops i can take it to the shop and have them fix it for under 1 grand? if so then I am never going to even think about selling my car again i will drive it forever. Is this really true? i thought transmission problems were the most sever problems, also say my transmission is starting to totaly get screwed up and slip at like 170k and i get a new or used (with low miles) transmission put on it how long would the engine run for, keep in mind this car has been babied, the previous owner was my dad he never raced it always changed the oil ever 3-5k he took it up once in awhile cuz its good for it he said but never on a regular basis. How long u think this vq30 could run for set aside transmissions. ?
any feedback would be amazing ive already gotten good feedback i no longer am obesessive compulsive about my transmission! i no longer will care if it shifts erraticly once in awhile it still runs great and seems to be running better and better since i got the trans flushed. Also I was having a weird rotten egg smell comming from my exhaust, i noticed it pretty much went away when i switched to 91 octane from 85 octane (which my manual said is ok using 85 octane in UTAH which i live in)

this forum is by far the most informative automotive forum i have ever posted in , thank you!

that's just labor. I paid $700 for tranny $400 for VB mod. $211 to ship from NY to MN. $100 for new axle and thinking of replacing starter while I am at it. and still need fluid.

Great Job. That was cool how you showed what didn't work and what you tried next to get the tranny under the car. I was kind of expecting one more "That was still not enough room so we just pulled the body of the frame."
