Twin Turbos on a 2000 maxima

Hey, I am thinking about running a twin turbo set up in my 2000 maxima, I have a few questions.

1. What parts would I need, other than 2 turbos
2. Effect on engine life
3. Effect on gas mileage
4. How much power would I gain?
5. Turbo Timers, is it worth getting?

Thanks.

1.To begin with your going to need gauges, piping to run exhaust thru turbo back to intake. Blow off valve, intercooler (highly recommended), bigger injectors, fuel pump, and the list goes on.

2. more of a load = more engine wear. you also having to worry about the rest of the drivetrain
3. Decrease = how hard you drive will make a big difference on how bad it is.
4. Depends on set-up
5. ..I understand turbo's, but haven't been around them enough to know all the language...Are you talking about the timer that leaves the blower running after you shut the motor down? If so then YES

personanlly, i think its a waste of money. just buy a different car with more power if thats what you are looking for. if your worried about gas mileage and engine wear and getting a different car is out of the question, i would get some nitrous, so you can just use it when needed and otherwise drive a stock car when your not beating on it.

It will cost you roughly $15k to do it right.

Dont waste your money, if you want that fast of a car, get something other than a Maxima.

It's been a while since I've seen a good twin-turbo maxima thread.

Read the stickies in the FI forum and read through as many threads there as you can:

I hate to be that guy, but I have to say that judging from your questions, I think there's much more you need to learn before attempting anything close to this. It'll be for your benefit.

As for whether its worth it, I'm not even gonna get into that.
