Body shop was trying to get me for my cookies...

So i went out to a local body shop to see how much it would be to paint my abs dynamics lip and my oem side skirts. The fitting on the lip was OK. the sides flared out alot and i would have to bend in the bottom of the sides so that they would flare out so much, putting alot of pressure on the lip. So he looked at it and told me 305$ to paint it(yes, US dollars). in my mind i was like "da ***?!" so then he looked at my skirts and said 175 for them...then to my sef i said.."da ***?!" So thats 485 all together to paint those two. I heard somewhere it shouldnt be more than 110$ to paint it (which was what he qouted me at 4 months ago) so i figure with the paint already mixed to paint and prime the skirts would be around 160$ for everything. Is that about right guys? Im sure as hell am not gonna pay 485 for a paint job. Anyone in Jersey can do this for me? Id post this in the regional forum but IMO so much more traffic comes thru here.

Since the fitiment was OK i was wondering if i should get the stillen one(urethane) instead. The guy did point out that with the flex that would be put on it, the paint wasnt gonna last very long. Any ideas? I posted a "WTT" thread in the FS section. heres the link to those who are interested..
Thanks, id just thought id share that.

small body shops charge by how busy they are. If they are real busy then of course they're going to charge you a lot. go to a different shop.
