clutch acting funny
my clutch pedal is getting spongy and front time to time it gets low, engages really low. If I pull it up with my foot it will raise again.....I changed the fluid in the system last year and it looks clean, how can I tell if it is the clutch master or slave cylinder going bad?
My clutch was messed up bad. I have an aftermarket one but I had my mechanic adjust it and it feels better but its still not "good." I really hate my clutch.
Try getting it adjusted and/or bleeding it.

This very same think happened to me when I had my 97 Maxima, I just installed a stage one clutch. The fix was to get a new clutch pedal line and rebleed the line. Even after that the clutch pedal was installed it still was very stiff because of the stage one clutch, but it played a little better.

Sounds like your slave cylinder and or master cylinder is failing.
I should know I went through 2 of them in 1 year
I never know I just change both to be safe. Whenever my clutch pedal felt different in any way within a week my slave/master cylinder went, happened 2 summers in a row. Its most likely the master cylinder but because the slave is so cheap go ahead and change that too. And bleeding a clutch on a max is murderous.
