to all those with replaced auto trannies

how many of you guys have had your auto trannies or any tranny for that matter replaced under warranty even though your car was lowered?

I don't think they can prove the tranny was messed up because of a dropped car. If it were me though, I would change it back to stock so there is no stalling. It's the dealer though. They are a bunch of morons (at least on the east coast.)

there going to fight and say well because your car is lowered the axle is now set at a different angle causing premature wear on the transmissions internal parts. plus on warranty contracts it says any alterations to cause the vehicle to be out of manufacture specs is void.

my tranny was replaced at 37k w/ my extended warranty(gotta love it)..Im lowered with Progress and all...dealer had no problem doing it and actual turnover was only 1 1/2 days..

The splines have to line up inside the transmission, so it must be striaght. In order for the axle to have caused premature wear it would have had to be pulling down on the trans
In theory if this was the case where the cv shaft was dropped low enough to cause the trans to wear prematurely then the joints would have stretched past their limit and one of the boots would have ripped by now..
