Changing LED on dash board and cd player

Has anyone changed out their LEDS on their 00-01 maxima on their stock bose cd player and the switches on the doors for the windows and behind the dashboard? I'm thinking of making them a brighter white but i don't want to start if it is going to be too hard. Also has anyone changed that stupid green led that lights the ring around the ignition switch?

i changed that stupid green light around the ignition switch and i bet a lot of people did that as well. you have to buy 74 sized bulbs on ebay or autolumination.com or even superbrightleds.com.

it was a b*tch changing mine because I was reading the write up and im not that good with the "mechanics of my car" at that time.

its do-able.

i didnt do the lights behind the cd player, and dash.. but i believe METAL MAXIMA did and a bunch of others.

hey tecao, was the door panels easy to do? i was thinking about taking it step by step and start on the door leds. I never used a soldering tool before so ill be running some test on some junky circuit boards before messing with the real thing. did you solder them yourself? and where did you get those leds?

man i love the custom interior job you do to your max. i really like the rear tail lights with the led rings. have you done that to your lights?

xTeCaOx, Are there any 74 bulbs that are led that you can just plug and play. Are all the radio and door panels require soldering? I want to make it easy on myself but it sounds like I might have to solder if I want the same effect you got....

Here are pics of my LED conversion, I have a write up on my cardomain, it's not easy but worth it if plan on keeping your stock radio for a while. Countless number of people have said they love it.

the complete interior pics can be found here:

And the write up here

i wanna do my AC controlls, and door panel.......
anyone have instructions on how to do those?
i did the ignition ring, and it was easy, i just bought blue LED from autozone, cut the wires from ignition light, and just put red on positive and white i think on negative....really easy...
i hope that AC controlls will be easy to change.....
thanks

no one has found any led bulbs that will fit the socket for the cd dash but im sure its out there.....i did it my way just because i wanted to fully light up the buttons..... it was really tedious but well worth the final product
