Tranny code name

just wanted to know what our 5.5gen tranny's code name is, i think its the
RE4F042A but im not sure. can someone help me im going to give level10 a call tomorrow about there stage 2 & 3 clutch kits.

I believe the 6 speeds were RS6F51 and ended with either an "A" for open diff and "H" for HLSD.

oh sorry i forgot to mention i have an auto not manual tranny. I'm going to upgrade the tranny for the summer with a performance clutch kit, valve body modification and maybe a higher stall converter. im going to give level10 and IPT performance tomorrow.

Open your hood and look at the plate on the firewall that has the code.

I assumed MT when I saw "clutch kits". I know nothing about upgrading ATs.

RE4F04A it should be, but like he said you need to look at the plate first.

if this question sounds like a newbie dont shoot!

if i have 2k2 with traction control that means i have a non-locking tranny right? Casue i think i have to search for a used tranny mine is slipping 69k starting to slip alot...
Will max tunning swap trannys out for me?

Traction control is electronic, not mechanical.

yea but the electronics have to be on place so i could do a swap.. right? i cant get a tranny from a car that didnt have traction control can i?
