5000k Halogen Bulbs????
I am looking to put in these Philips Diamond Vision bulbs which are rated at 5000k for my headlights and fogs. They are both 55/60 watt and am wondering if they will melt my light housings? I am assuming since they are 55and 60 watt I should be ok. I have silverstars now but am not real happy with them. Any response would be great. I am saving up money to but HID's in about a year........

When concerned about hanress fubar... it doesn't matter what Kelvin rating they are, all that matters is the wattage.
So this thread is misleading.
FYI, I've melted a harness on stock wattage.

You should be fine.... But it could be 'rated' (halogen K ratings = ) @ 10k, or 4k, and not have any affect on your harness, all that matters is the wattage NOT the Kelvin temp rating.
