Well,
My tranny was slipping from 2nd to 3rd. I complained and the service shop said they would fix it. They had to order the part and they would call me up when the got it (they said the tranny needed a new Valve Assembly). it was suppose to be a week and it took them almost a month tog et it in. No my Tranny is slipping from first to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, going into reverse! The whole damn thing is a mess. I call taoday and what do you know, the aprt jsut came in. BULLSH*T! How many weeks did they have it and forget to call.
Sorry, just venting but my tranny has been getting worse and worse. If your Max has the Tranny slip, get on the dealer to fix it right away before it gets to the stage that mine is in now.

If you do a few neutral drops, you'll definitely blow the tranny. They'll have to fix it right away. I'm not suggesting you do so, but if you don't have a choice..........

Are you serious about this? If you are (I will not be repsonsible for what you do) the bring the rpms to about 6K and shift to D whenever you're ready. After a few times of doing this.... *BOOM* new tranny from Nissan.

This is a pretty easy routine with a good Infiniti dealer for 2k I30s. I bring it in, take the master tech for a ride, he orders the part and I come back and get it installed. I'm currently on the third round. First round was 3Y101 TCM, second round 85X04 solenoids, now it's 3Y160 TCM. The car never enters the shop on inspection, it's just a simple 5 minute drive. I think it's worth the extra dough to buy the Infiniti vs. Nissan, I can just imagine what I'd be going through with a Max. My service advisor is great, I don't even have to identify myself on the phone, he knows who I am as soon as he hears my voice.

I agree,I love the body style on the new 2k I-30's but the only reason I bought a Nissan is because of the stick tranny,
