01 AE tranny in 03

What do i all need to put an 01 AE auto transmission with LSD into my 03? I found a brand new AE transmission for about $1000 shipped to me. I know i will need the axels but will i need both? Anyone know? will all of the electrical still work with the new one? Thanks

could i ask why you wouldnt use an 02/03 auto with hsld? the 3.0 auto is weaker than the 3.5 auto. i recall one specific 4th gen with a 3.5 that went through his 3.0 auto tranny in a matter of a few weeks. if you did do this, then you will need a tcm from a 3.0 auto tranny as well. 00 and early build 01 built 3.0 auto trannies also had issues with slipping that was cured with updated solenoids and updated tcms just fyi.

You'll need a LSD specific driver's side axle. Any normal passenger side auto/5spd axle will work.

As for ECMs and all that auto junk, I have no idea.
