Glowing Red Rotors

Glowing Red Rotors
Last night (after 10 minutes of driving) I noticed that my rotor overheated and turned red. Today it seems to be fine. My guess is that my caliper is locking-up spontaneously.
Did anybody experience this? If so, what needs to be replaces and how much did it cost? All input is appreciated….
Thanks

Check your emergency brake was all the way in the DOWN (disengaged) position, even if it was UP just a bit it may have caused friction with the rear pads, which over the time of the drive, caused them to heat up quite a bit.

make sure theyre seized before you replace them. the same thing happened to me last night and all i needed to do was fix the adjustment on the brake light sensor and cruise control sensor sitting on the back of the brake pedal, the sensors were holding the brake on. could be your ebrake out of adjustment too. just make sure they actually are seized before you go replacing them
