I am installing an amplifier. Ground and power appears to be properly connected. The remote wire does not (tried fuse box and still couldn't get power). Where can I connect this without taking apart the dash?

First, we need more info about your current set-up. Bose, premium, basic?

Where are you installing the amp? If in the trunk you can get to the antenna amp. It's under the passenger side C-pillar trim. I believe it only gets power when the head unit is on. You can tap into that for your remote turn-on. The trim panel is a little tricky to pull off but start at the top.

Otherwise, look for any switched accessory line at the fuse box or elsewhere. The kind that gets power any time the ignition is on.

I have a premium system. The amp will be under the passenger's seat. Looking for power near the fuse box, only because I would prefer to not disassemble the dash.. I may have to though. Thanks for the reply.

Under the passenger seat? Try tapping into the rear power socket in the center console. I'm pretty sure that one's only got power with the ignition on. Should work well for you is fairly easy to get to.

Well it's done. Rockford fosgate fanatic door speakers are now powered by an mtx roadthunder 260. I ended up taking the deck out, which really wasn't that though. Just a few unnerving popping noises. I believe it was a purple wire that ended up working for the remote.

Hey, off the subject, how do you like your ADDCO sway bar? I'm finally ready to buy one, and you are the only person that I've noticed (except for punkdork) that has installed an ADDCO on a 2000+ max. Any problems with the fit? I am leaning toward buying stillen's.

The Stillen bar is better looking, adjustable, and supposed to be a direct bolt-on. The down side is it's more expensive, you probably will never take full advantage of the adjustability, and many people are complaining about Stillen's customer service.

The reason I went with the ADDCO bar was because it was only $150 delivered. The first weekend I had it I autocrossed and noticed a significant handling improvement with no problems. It wasn't until several weeks later when I had a fully loaded car, I heard a "thunk" while going over a speed bump. After inspection I figured out it was the passenger side rear bracket catching on a suspension part. A little trimming of the bracket solved the problem and I haven't heard a "thunk" since. Others, like Punkdork, simply moved the brackets inboard 6 inches which seems to work too.
