For those with the ebay projector headlights

The dealers say we need HB3 and HB4 bulbs to replace these lights but why are these bulbs so small compared to the HB3 and HB4? and also does anyone know how to install them because all I see is a long white wire that is attached to a small lightbulb...no plugs or anything

the projectors have h3's for the low beam, which means not much light output there. not much you can do about besides smash the lights or do a retro.

the ebay version uses 9005 and 9006 bulbs....but there is no plug anywhere for me to connect the new light bulbs....the old light bulbs only had a small bulb attached to a long white string

It depends, sometimes the dealers give you the light bulb and harness, most of the time they don't. if you bought the cheapest ones on ebay then no, they probably didn't come with the harness. that is why you should ask them questions before you buy or else you'll get

the harnesses are simple to make once you studied it.....go to HIDplanet.com hrmm or you should do what roy did, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/578450/1

for the harness....you have to buy the male counterpart for the headlights and then rewire the lights to that your high will turn on to your highs and lows on lows the DDE (angel eyes) you can wire wit your parking or separately wit a switch to the dash
the parking and turn signal you would also need a male counter part of the bulb

another thing....who did you buy it from?

i'm thinkin of buying one too but ummm looks like none of them sell it plug and play....or i seen one but idk, he is not answering my questions
or you can buy a harness premade

http://www.suvlights.com/product_inf...roducts_id=112

or learn how to make your own at
http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...ght=conversion
to get the male connectors for the H4/9003 or the H3 for your fogs or whatever
http://www.suvlights.com/product_inf...roducts_id=215

Now for your turn signal well.....idk? LOL you might wanna as Dr Roy....but becareful he makes some sick ****....jus look at his led tail lights!
good luck

About poor light output hmmm I think i can prove people wrong. I have the black ebay projectors on my car.
I was going to do a retro but I was too scared to open the lights up so I just used a 8000K HID H3 kit. Put the bulbs in. The light output was bad at first so I played around with the **** behind the headlight. It looked like there was no difference since I had to take out the headlight to do it but believe me my headlights are bright as hell now. The only setback is that the cutoff didnt come out even plus the cutoff is not as beautiful as the Audis and BMWs.
I will take pictures and post them as soon as I get a chance.

The poor light output was if you're using the H3s that came with the headlights. There is no doubt that putting HIDs in these projectors will give it a better light output. However the beam pattern is messed up and they are not as good as the ones in bmws and audis llike you pointed out.

That **** behind the headlight adjusts level of the beams. You may have adjusted the levels by milimeters. Several milimeters may not look like much 5-15ft away, but 100 -150 yard may look like the beams are a little high or a little low.

Putting HIDs may have been a simple fix, but put yourself in the other person shoes and see how bad the glare is if you were an oncoming driver.

I have tested this fact and the beam does not blind people. I didnt raise it that high cos I know how the glare from those cars with reflectors that are not meant for HIDs make me sick.

As for you I promise you that these headlights are H3s in low beam and H1 in high beam

Putting HIDs may have been a simple fix, but put yourself in the other person shoes and see how bad the glare is if you were an oncoming driver.
Ive had this setup for like 2 months now and Ive never been flashed at by oncoming drivers. I even told my friend that drives an 02 Maxima(dropped with H Teins) to drive towards me and he didnt see any glaring. The only setback that the raising has is that my high beams are HIGH as hell so I dont use them unless someone pisses me off.

Quick reminder for anyone trying to get these headlights "the low beam shuts off when you put on the high beam so this might be a concern for those trying to put HIDs in the projectors.

No. Since the 00 and 01 maximas have single bulb with high and low beam so I dont think theres a way to stop this. As for the 02 and 03 maxima, the high beam turns on without the low beam turning off so I would guess if you get an 02 maxima's harness it might work.

Question for everyone. Has anyone installed these headlights using 02 harness? And does the high beam turn on with the low beam?

Are the 03 HID's different from the 02's? Why would you guys recommend 2k3 lights over 2k2? I thought they were the same?

I have 2k3 maxima. Got excited by the black projectors on ebay. I sold my HID head lights. Now the Projectors arent bright enough at night. I changed the h3 bulbs to 4300 k something. How can I make them blue . I was told HID wont work with the projectors. Please help

Word on the board is that the HID's will work with projectors.. just not those. Well, you wont get a very good beam pattern until you retrofit those ***** with another projector. Do a search and you'll find plenty on retrofits around here. As for a blue beam, your going to have to go UP on the Kelvin scale, like a 8000K or so if you want Blue.

Look here did u put real HID with 4300 K rating or are u talking about those xenon bulbs? Im pretty sure you put in the xenon bulbs because I have these same projectors and they are bright as hell and I havent even done a retro fit yet. You have to get an HID kit (H3) like I did.
Let me post pictures to make you believe.
