quiet clunking noise/ when moving wheel
i put h&r and tokico blues on my 2k se a few weeks ago with absolute no moaning, groaning, creaking, clunking whatsoever. now last nite i have noticed a quiet but audiable noise( you know when its your car) when i am going slow and i move the wheel back and forth. sounds like it is coming from passenger side front. my friend said possible rack and pinion bushings?? any clues? i am also guessing end links, have 66k on it.

May be that the mid steering shaft has some slop in it. If it did, you should be able to turn the wheel a little before the shaft "catches" and starts turning the wheels. When it does finally "catch" you should feel a bump or a clunk or something. Or it could be something entirely different...
Edit... just noticed that it is coming from the passenger side... Have someone (or multiple someones) outside the car listen in a quite parking lot a few feet away from your car to determine more of where it's coming from. Does it clunk when going over bumps as well or just when you turn the wheel?

sound like sway bar links. does it sound like its coming from the wheels or the strut? does it make the noise on smooth road or just in bumps? sounds like somethings loose? be a little bit more descriptive. if its what you have described, then its definately sway bar links. mine did that, and its cheap and easy to fix.

it does it now on bumpy roads, but you have to be going slow to hear it. if it was not my car the next man to drive it would probably not hear or feel it, but when you drive the car every day and you develope a new noise you know it! it doesnt do it on speed bumps and if i bounce the car with help of friends i dont hear it either.
