How and where do you look up shops that have dynos?

How much do they charge per run?

By program, do you mean the actual dyno run itself, or the viewer program? You can download the viewer from dynojets website if that's all you need.

I have the viewer software already, so if you could have the shop that dyno'ed your car, put the file in "djr" format, I could put it in my viewer and post pics for you. Lemme know if you need my help.

P.S. It looks like the only difference between your car and mine when I dyno'ed last was that mine is not a true Fed spec and I have an UDP. My results were the same for peak HP (187.0) but my torque peak was 180.1 ft-lbs. I would really like to overlay our results and see where the differences are. My results are at the following site just FYI.

I think we all need to get our hands on some fed spec ECUs and exhaust manifolds

Dont forget the "swirl" butterfly valves in the lower intake manifold. The CA has them, The Fed Does not. I wonder how much this obstruction is worth?

Here is my dyno, and I an calif spec. It was pretty hot as well outside. I have never heard of any other butterfly in the manifold for calif spec..where did you get that info from?

In the shop manual, and I have a 5g intake, lower and upper. The lower has a set of butterfly valves in it that close when at idle. This is to cause swirl in the intake air for more complete combustion. When you are not at idle, they are open but IMHO will interfear with air flow when compared to a non buterfly equiped 5g. I'll try and take a pic and post it in a few days to give you an idea of what it is. Basically if you look at the intake from the front on the left side their is a vacume actuator that is attached to the lower metal portion of the intake plenum. The actuator is connected to rods that protrude into the runners. 2000 FED's will not have this, all the others will.

Nice dyno numbers. I was looking at your graph, going... wow, he's got 190+ ft-lbs of torque. I went back and looked at your sig and it said you were stock! I thought to myself... D@mn, you must have the best auto Nissan ever built... then I read further and saw you were a stick. Oh, that explains it! I don't know why I had the impression that you were an auto!

If I ever find the time to dink around with my car again, I'll take a look at that lower intake plentum. Right now, I only have enough time to keep an eye on Maxima.org between diaper changes, etc. At least I'm spending my time away from my Max doing something worthwhile!
