Hey whats up guys, hows everyone doing? I havent been on here in a while, hope all is well..
So I have a problem, my Radiator is leaking all over the place in the engine bay and i need to order a new one. Has anyone ordered one recently? I'm looking for the best place to go (best price).. so please help me if you have an information.
Also by any chance, does anyone know the diameter of the filter for the stillen cold air intake filter? Is it 4"?

I've had very good luck 'googling' for my 1989 Maxima parts on line. Try: '2002 Maxima used radiator'. I assume you want a 'used one' vs a new one.
Most junk yards keep really good records on the in-coming wrecks. I got a used alternator for my '89 than only had 60,000 on it. I can't believe they keep that good an 'inventory'....but hey, people want to know!
You can also Google: Nissan junk yards, and try that way. Also, many dealers have 'coupon's on their websites for parts, accessories if you want to buy 'new'. Check our your local dealer at XYZ.com. Look up under Parts/Service and they usually have 10-15% off all parts on Saturdays. Also good for Service coupons (if you are a gal like me and can't change radiator fluid, etc).
Good luck with your search. I also purchased from Autogator.com (again, my older Maxima), and had luck with them w/ parts and good pricing.

I just search google because I had no idea they even made full plastic radiators. IMO I would ask the price difference between them. Cars have been made with metal radiators forever and if you get into a decent accident I dont think it will matter if its plastic or metal, your going to break it. Thats my .02

New expensive oem: discount OEM dealership online, Jerry Rome, Courtesy, etc.
Used cheap OEM: www.car-part.com, local junkyard
Both above have plastic end tanks and normally are the cause of leaks
Aftermarket larger aluminum: griffin, others. normally pretty costly

thanks SPIG...
As of right now I called nissan to see how much it was list price $499, and at wholesale $399.
As for the used ones, no one knows what kind they have nor if its plastic, metal or aluminum. Does anyone know dave b's number? I'm sure he could beat the price im getting. I mean is it really worth getting a new one? When i called for the used ones, they dont kno **** about what they have. Only that its in the car, with 65k miles or whatever..

Plastic = cheaper to manufacture... that's why so many automakers use them.
All that's plastic on them is the tanks. Since plastic is somewhat of an insulator, the tubes and fins are still made of metal.
I prefer an all metal radiator. I've heard more than one mechanic refer to the plastic radiators as "plastic crap."
EDIT:
Looks like $244 for the radiator if you have auto trans. and $187 if you have manual trans.
Those prices are from the Napa Auto Parts web site. I have a Napa radiator in my Sentra and it is ALL metal.

Some radiator shops repair plastic tank radiators and some don't. If it was my car I would rather go with a new OEM radiator versus a used. The cost of an engine far exceeds that of a radiator if you blow a head gasket or warp your heads from overheating. A leaking radiator will have a lower boiling point because it won't hold pressure. The Nissan service manual shows a radiator repair in it.
