Question about advantage of Ilumunas vs Blues
I have been running Eibach springs with Tokico Blues for about 30k miles. I am going to change out the springs to H&Rs very soon. The Blues that I have, have a lifetime warranty, so they will probably last another 20k - 30k miles without problem. I am thinking about switching them out for Iluminas. Most people that I have read about are running them at 2-3F and 2-3R. My question is whether that setting on the Iluminas will give a better ride than the Blues or would they be about the same? I realize that the adjustability is an advantage, but I don't want to spend that much money unless I am going to see a noticable difference. Thanks for any help/advice.

I've never had blues but I heard they are pretty much like stock struts. Based on that I will say illuminas are way better. I have mine set at 4F 4R and with H-techs and they ride pretty smooth and I feel planted on the ground. I will experiment and switch the front to 3 and keep the rear at 4 to see how it feels.

since you have sports springs then i'd say go with the illuminas. But HP are nothing like stock shocks. I have hp on with stock springs and the difference is night and day. Stock shocks are underdampened where as hps are not. Tokico may make stock nissan shocks but they are not the same as hp's.

I have stock springs but I have the Illuminas set at 3F/3R. The improvement they made to the cars handling is amazing, sport springs or not. The nice thing is that my ride is not too much stiffer, noticeable but not bad at all. I like it better than the stock floatiness I got before.
