doing it right now on my car. will cost a fair amount of money, but if you have a lot done to your car and it will cost a lot to have it changed then i believe its worth it. also only worth it if you plan to keep your car for a long while

is it more involved than the swap on 3.0s? i kno on these cars you would also need a new gauge cluster to remove the PRND blase blase such and such but anything else to look out for?

well, its going to be just short of 4k, so its a lot more, but im having a shop do it so if you do it yourself it will be about 3k. yes its more involved, a bunch more parts needed.

Thats a sure fire way to get help in the future...

There are tons of people on this board that come in here thinking they are going to swap out motors and trannies when the most they have done is an oil change.

i have done more than an oil change but not a swap yet. my only problem with setting out to do it is that im a perfectionist and i like my jobs to be better than oe quality. i like everything i do to seem the way it shouldve been from the factory which is why i frown on getting drop down lcd monitors and my favorite wheels can be purchased at the local infiniti dealer and not west coast customs. yea im a different kind of guy but i dont like going into anything in the dark i like to kno as much as possible and i respect anyone who has something positive to say about anything i post and i definitely help and throw in a line when i can

My experience has been to sell your current car X and buy one that has what you want. In this case a 6spd. If you are looking at 3-4K then add in the extras you didn't think of. You will have about 5k. In these cases, you are better off to just sell the car, and buy one with a 6spd. Save money, time, and trouble.

which I may do and have been considering. 6spd's are kind of rare around here
