A question about angel eyes ***PICS***

I got my replacement ring tonight and put it in. The install went fine and when I turned it on it looked beautiful. The ring was the exact same brightness as the other ones and I was quite happy. I drove somewhere for about half an hour and came home. Later I went out to the garage to show someone my angel eyes and I see this:

I tried hooking up the ring to the other set of wires on the ballast and also unplugging the other ring to see if the bad one got any brighter. It didn't help. I really hope I don't have to pop open the headlight again.

Mine always did that when it was cold, or there was water in the ballast... Hopefully you can figure it out. If not you are going to be a pro at opening up your headlights.

Hardwire the connectors together instead of using those plug-in tabs. That will stop your issue from happening

Well, I've tried everything including soldering the wires, trying different grounds, and changing the wires on the ballast. It didn't help at all and as of tonight the ring only has a faint glow on the upper left side. It's dead.

Sounds like it is time for another replacement ring...

Did you try witching the ballast?? Try the one from the driver's side... then you will be sure if it is the ring or ballast.
