Rear Tires

I have a major problem. My rear tires are going bald, 10K miles and the rears are cut up and bald.

I have no clue why. I took out my box, i am wondering it the rear suspension is shot.. anyone ever have this problem?

if they are bald in the center, it's a sign of over-inflation. on the sides-underinflation. if the whole tire is real bad, it may mean bad alignment. if this car has been in an accident and anything screwed up the rear axels, the alignment may be permanently off. are you the original owener, or do you know if this car has ever been hit?

^^ check that first! Then see what kind of warranty the tires have on them...you may have a lemon and it should be replaced by any good tire place where you bought it.

i have both tires which are going bald, could i have 2 bad tires? front ones are okay, i dont think it was ever hit, i am the 2nd owner and wheel alighment/suspension could be shot.....

you think they will replace both tires without.

it looks like somoene left the ebrake on and drove the car untill they dragged on the street.

no one drives this car other then me and i dont drive with e-brake

new tires man, under 10K miles.. im thinking rear suspension is shot and it drags when it hits potholes

Wow, that kind of wear sounds really strange to me. I would try to bring it back to the shop and play dumb, dont suggest anything, just let them come up with their own idea...unless it doesnt agree with your wallet of course. But after only 10K there is no way a tire should wear out like that.

1. check your rear rotors for signs of bad wear or chipping.
2. Are your rear brake pads shot?
3. Your rear calipers might be frozen and holding on to the rotors

These steps should further help you diagnose your problem
