Has anyone removed their tail light?

I got my car back a few weeks ago from the body from an accident. It was raining that day, I opened my trunk I have small amount of water in my trunk, I was pissed. I took it back and they had to put some sealant around the taillight. Has anyone removed their taillight if there's a rubber gasket or sealing on it? I am thinking the shop didn't put the sealant on it correctly.

The tailight should have that black, gooey silicone to seal it to the frame. Where, exactly, was the water inside the trunk? I would also check the rubber, weatherstrip lining the trunk. Make sure that it's pressed down all the way, all the way around.

I had the same problem....your best bet is to buy some clear silicone sealant....lift the bottom liner of the trunk.....apply silicone sealant where the taillight meets the body.....get a gallon of water and pour it where the water would normally pass through.....and look for water coming into the trunk....samething happened to me

same problemo here there is a drain in the trunk that you can remove so any access water that builds up will drain out and then re seal the tail lights and check the stripping around the trunk as previously mentioned
