I installed a pair of clear turn signals (sylvania 1157LL) into my headlamps to get rid of the yellow light. I realized now that the light is only bright enough to match my headlights when the turn signal is activated. Otherwise, the bulb is lit to half of its capacity.

Is there any way to keep these bulbs lit at their brightest setting and still blink when the turn signal is activated?

 

Are you talking about clear white or clear amber? You are talking about the halogen headlights, right? If so, the bulb is only designed to operate at 5W on one filament (parking light) and 20W-25W on the other filament when blinking. If you modify the one filament to operate at a constant wattage 20W or so, the harness will most probably be fried after a while.

on my other car i've had it wired so it'll stay on the bright position as parking lights. they look nice but when i use turn signal it only flashes on dim mode.

so during the day can't really see the turn signal sometimes =/

 

I usually keep all the lights off during the day so it wouldn't really make a difference. But at night, I want the "bright" to stay on continuously, and flash either completely bright-on and bright-off, or just dim-bright-dim-bright.
