Little white plastic grommet that headlight post sits in?????

Ok on all the 5th gens, there is a little white plastic grommet that is mounted in the front fender, pointed toward the front of the car. When you put your headlight housing in, the little metal post sticking out of the side of the headlight slides into this grommet to align the headlight correctly with the fender.
Well one of mine broke!! So I looked in my parts book, and it doesn't show the part.
So today I went to the stealership to the parts guy, and the part was not showing up on his computer??? I even went around and looked myself at the screen, and it didn't show it??
So has anyone had to replace one of these? and where did you get it? or whats the part#?
Thanks

It's for both the 5th gen and the 5.5 gen.
and the part number for the 2k2-2k3 headlight clips (that go under the light) is 26398-5Y700
I called the STEALership, and they said $1.75 for the grommet, and $3.93 per clip

Naw son, they're different. My 2000 grommits don't fit my 2k3 HID's.

the 2k3 housings are different form the 2k2 housings. i learned this when i installed mine, they require different under headlight clips. if you have the housing off of a 2k2 then the 2k-2k2 part numbers fly. i can vouch for this because the one grommet i ahve fits my 2k2 housing.

I agree. The way you tell between the 2k2 and 2k3 is the orangeness in the blinker.

light orange = 2002
deep orange = 2003

NAW SON (I got 10 years on u, if anything call me old man) your thinking of the "clip" that is specific for 2k-2k1 #26398-2Y001 and 2k2-2k3 #26398-5Y700
The "grommet" that the metal post on the outside side of each of your headlights sits in, is the same for 2k-2k3 (both #76848-51U00). I have a 2k3 HID's in my 2k that fit fine into the grommets with no problem, until i cracked one of them.

I am looking at a Factory Parts Manual printed in November 2005, and the only difference between the 2k2 and the 2k3 headlight housing part numbers, are for the high beam bulb itself, and the turn signal bulb, Every other part shown and listed is the same part # for 2k2 and 2k3

So the grommet is the screw/plastic that goes INTO the fender right? What i'm talking about is the white tab thingy that sits UNDER the headlights.

sorry old man

no for that part you need to go to nissan and get the actual clip. best way to tell the difference is the 2k-2k1 is white the newer ones is dark brown almost black. make sure the ones u get are for your head lights, 2k2 is diff from 2k3, so you need to know which ones you have.

Hmmm, when I bought mine, my clips for the HID's were grey. As far as the grommet part that goes into the fender for the headlight post, the parts are the same for all 5th gener's. They sometimes tend to break easy when removing the headlights from the car. I had broken mine several times and all I did was wrap some electrical tape around the post on the headlights and taped the grommet to the fender. It works. But, later on, I had bought a few spares at the dealer and installed them.
