I just got mine and with a decent amount of coverage, I am around $245 with USAA. That's with no tickets and no accidents. Am I getting owned or are more people in the similar boat?

$132.00/month, but this is because my car is still registered where I grew up which is a suburb of Boston. If I registered my car in Boston insurance would be $305.00/month.......So basically I pay $261.00/month to cover 2 cars both full coverage

call AAA. I pay 105 a month fully covered. If you use AAA tell them you only drive the car 3000 miles a year and it is in a garage. Tell them you don't need a rental and you are a student etc. they keep lowering it. i'm 25

$500 property for fixing any damage to my car not caused by another person, like hail damage, hit a tree or mailbox, hit and run, stuff like that.

Edit: Well hit and run is something caused by another person( or you, lol), but unless you catch them, the insurance company won't care, you still have to pay if you want the vehicle fixed.

Doesnt how much you paid for your car has to do with insurace prices too? Im 16, 1 accident, no tickets, good sutdent discount, steer clear discount, driver's ed discount, Comprehensive 130 a month, only paid 5,700 for my maxima if that has anything to do w/ the insurance too(working at a car dealership and knowing wholesale dealers roxx!)

Doesn't sound like you're hurting too much. Your payments work out to be less than $75/month. So far, that's the lowest by far. Who do you have? Do you have full coverage or only partial?

$1,136.00 every 6 months for 2 Maximas. A '91 and an '02. It works out to $630 every 6 months on the '02 and $506 every 6 months on the '91. Both cars have same coverage:
Bodily injury and property liabilty-$100/300/100, this raises the bill quite a bit, but take it from someone who knows the insurance industry. It's worth it!
Comp-$250
Collision-$500

We've both had a couple of tickets in the last few years too which raises it. My wife also had at at fault accident a year ago. We have Progressive now, not only because my wife works there and it's an excellent company to work for and be insured with, but because our previous insurer, American Family had it's head so far up it's *** it wasn't even funny.

Hey American Family!

Bingo! On a side note, I find it really ironic that numerous research studies (including many done by the insurance companies themselves) have repeatedly shown that women get into more accidents than men, yet the rates are higher for men.

The rates should be equal if not lower for men... but have you ever realized that there is a very small population of girls who are performance enthusiasts?

geeze. I guess I got to look around for the best deal. Seems like the good ones have to run credit history checks and I heard that's horrible for your credit. I'm gonna look into AAA, Progressive, All State and State Farm
