I was just browsing on Courtesy Nissan's website, and noticed the MAF is over $440 for the 2k2-2k3 while the MAF for the 2k-2k1 is about $90...? They both look very similiar though, but Im just curious.

I thought the same thing, when mine was getting fixed i was like wow this is gonna be expensive even though the dealer i got the car from was paying for it, but a new MAF installed and new air filter was only 258.78 and they reprogrammed the ECU under emissions warranty. But i was wondering that too, its a lot cheaper for a 2k1

Its something about they moved a sensor that was on the 2000's intake box and they made it part of the maf on the 2k2's, i know it has something to do with a relocated sensor though.

it has to do with a lot of things that Nissan needed more money to keep on going. Like always they did a poor design and that's why the 02-03 fails that much. Get the 01 revised one and made the modifications needed and SAVE money... Call DaveB for more info.
