Hey metal did you get my PM about taking a pick of the bulb next to a coin. At least 18 inches away. If it wasn't still raining here I would take mine apart to do it.

Metal so this is the same process as you did in your writeup? It seems that only a few ppl know where the write up is. In your writeup you used those same polarg bulbs but yet you say this is led... Im confused.

instead of a blue 'film' on the back of the gauges, the 5.5 gen gauges are blue all the way through, so it can't sand/rub off or be chemically removed....i'm interested to know how to get around it....but like i said before, our gauges can be really bright if the correct amount of light is used....

 

Ahh, wasn't quote sure what I was looking at. So Dan, how exactly did you get MAXPL's gauges so bright?

Yeah, once i got the gauge face off and saw what you meant (a long time ago), i just sort of gave up on the chance of having brighter gauges....someone near metal get this done so we can get a write-up

ive never attempted this before..BUT... couldnt u just take the entire blue face plate thingy out so that the bulbs wont have to filter thru it? Or how about cutting ur own plate template to replace the factory one? Just a thought id figure would help with ur guessing.

 

That faceplate is what has the numbers on it....

 

oye... yea i realized that after i went thru the write up page. Metal, is the procedure the same on the 00-01's? 30 min sounds like it would be and easy job. And does the write up on the car domain page actually work? I remember reading that there were bright and dark spots when the paint stripper was used. If it is, im in central jerz, maybe i can pay ya and id drive over n u can do mine for me?
