01 runs good, but it has 115000 miles, what should be done next service? the coil boots are disappearing looks like shocks have never been changed, if i replace boots i have to align? should i put new shocks in too and how much is it gonna cost? do i need to do springs as well?

If I didn't know the maintenance history, I'd definitely check the spark plugs, air filter, and oil, and change as necessary. Common problems to look out for would be MAF, ignition coils, and transmission lacking "pull (AT). At least. these are the ones I've experienced, save the alternator/idler pully issue that popped up this morning. Struts would be a good idea, too. And be sure to check the brakes...

Spark plugs ASAP I would recommend NGK Iridium. You can buy them for about $43 shipped on ebay. Plus you can install it yourself (check the installation forumns) . I just did mine at 128K miles and I was glad I did.

Wow, $43.00 shipped! I just replaced my plugs a couple of weeks ago and I paid $11.00 a piece (stealership). But, then again, I bought the NGK platinums. How are the Iridiums? Do they perform better than the Platinums?

Spark plugs are not performance mods they are maintenance mods. I like the Iridiums better but I still cant tell the difference since I just installed them. I notice I have better Idling and a LITTLE better gas mileage. notice the word little in CAPS lol

I understand the plugs aren't performance mods. I was just asking how they were compared to the platinums, meaning can you really tell a difference with them installed. Thanks for your response, though. Maybe, I'll ask at a later time when you get more mileage on them.

Sure I will give you my feedback soon. I drive about 600 miles every week so I should be able to tell you this week.
One note: The Iridiums are supposed to last longer than the platinums.

oh, and if i replace the struts, do they come with new dust boots? or do i need to buy those from the dealer? and should i replace springs too or struts alone will do if springs feel fine right now, i think it's at stock ride height and i have no need to change its configuration

My owners manual says 100K (I think). Every time I hear pinging, I run some gas treatment, works great.

Everyones' owners manuals say that but believe me I will never ever wait 100K miles to change my spark plugs again. You need to see how shot the NGK double plat. plugs that I took out of my car.
I would recommend every 30K miles even with NGK Iridiums

tokico blues are very nice, i notice an extreme difference over OEM struts...
much smoother ride, and hardly any body sway when hitting small bumps in the road! although, tokico has been bought out by another company, not sure who?
