new hood cost/installation

A while back I rear-ended someone, and suffered a bit of damage to my hood. The sides bowed up a bit and the front was dented in - I was able to get most of the bowed look to the sides of the hood, but the dented front still remains. The hood no longer 'pops' up when I pull the hood release from inside the car. All in all I don't think things were TOO damaged. I never took care of it via my insurance because I was too lazy, and I didn't think it would cost much to fix... which brings me to a few questions:

1. How much is a new hood? I'd preferrably like to have it painted to match my car (duh) - what am I looking at here? Not interested in CF or anything, just watned a new Silver Mist hood. Anything else I need besides the hood itself?

2. What is the labor like involved in replacing the hood?

Thanks.

just need to loosen a couple bolts and you're good to go. have another person hold the hood for you while you're loosening the bolts - i don't think its really possible to take it apart without another person helping you.

Part # is F5100-5Y7CM from Nissan, list price is 386.43. If you know a good parts person near you they could probably do a little better for you. Check aftermarket hoods, but inspect them carefully for dents and whatnot. They tend to use thinner metal in the aftermarket world. Good luck.
