I think you are refering to the Sunroof Wind Deflector and it isn't missing it is a dealer installed option so you did't buy it your local dealer will be able to get it for you I'm sure you can get it elsewhere I just don't know where

Part number 999D4-MP500 70.00 list price at the dealer. If they don't stock one they are a crappy parts dept. (Tell them that if they don't)

Also, when I took mine off it actually made less noise than with it on.

I agree it does look better with it off. Much cleaner.... I took mine off the day I purchased my 01 from the dealer. Bought it a year old... After taking it off everyone knows of the "ring" it leaves on the paint... My pearl max had a nice black ring that I used to take off with Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and plenty of elbow grease(microfiber towel)...I also used Maguires Scratch removal after that to buff out the scratches and you could never tell it was there.
JJJ if there is not paint damage just leave it off unless you like the way it looks on...Make sure if you are going to put it back on that you put some black electrical tape or cushin around the two metal clips that hold it to the sunroof because the clips will also damage your paint/rust...
My deflector is in my garage collecting dust...
