Blank Key

I tried doing a search for this, but nothing useful came up so here it goes. I just got a new blank key for my maxima and I was curious on if there's any other place besides the stealership to get it programmed and do they cut the new key as well or do I have to go somewhere else to get that done? Also, how much does this normally run. Thanks in advance for the help.

I work at a used car dealership, i bought a blank transponder key on ebay for $12, we use a local locksmith for everything we need so i asked how much for a personal car, all i wanted to do was program the chip so i could install it in my DEI immobilzer bypass and hide it in my car, he charged me $45, he even cut an extra blank key for me for free that he needed to use to turn the ignition when he held the transponder key near the ignition to program.

If you are in the desert area (palm springs) of california, call him 760-899-3603, tell him tommy sent you and he will make and program a key for you (he also provides the key too) for about $65 i think is what he quotes my customers
